Under 21’s

Training continues on Tuesday and Thursday at 7pm as normal

Under 16 Boys

Boys had a good win over Glenelly on Sunday evening and are now through to the league final, congratulations to all the boys for their efforts at training and at matches. They are also in the championship semi final, so everyone needs to put in the extra effort . Training continues on Tuesday night @ 7pm.

Under 16 Girls

Training for girls continues on Friday at 6.30pm everyone should be at the pitch and ready to train at this time.

Youth Meeting

A meeting will be held on Friday night at 8pm in the club rooms.

Senior & Reserve

Seniors are away this Sunday 14th August to Beragh, kick off at 3.45pm. Training continues on Tuesday and Thursday at 7pm as normal. Under 21’s should ensure they attend training now as their competition starts in a couple of weeks.

Under 16 Boys

Training continues at 8pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Any boys wishing to join the team are welcome to come along to the training.

Last Man Standing

Last man standing is now running again anyone who wants to take part should contact a committee member. Entry is £10 all sheets should be returned on Thursday @ 8pm in the club rooms.

The ladies banner has gone missing if anyone knows where it is could they contact a committee member.

Perpetual Trophies

Over the years a number of perpetual trophies where presented to the club, this trophies where given out for a number of awards, some of these trophies have never been returned to the club. If anyone is in possession of one of these trophies we would be most grateful of its return, they can be returned to any committee member.

Grounds Cleanup

Anyone available on Saturday to help clean up the grounds should come to the pitch for 10am 2 hours work will complete the clean up. Many thanks to Terrance Rushe for the loan of his teleporter.

Sympathies

The club would like to extend their sympathies to the Shaunessy family on their recent bereavement and also to the Shiels family on their recent loss. Mary Queen of the Gael pray for them.

Castlederg hosted a blitz on Saturday many thanks to all the teams who attended and all the members who helped out, a great day was had by all. Many thanks to Corlins for the sponsorship of prizes.

Training continues on Tuesday and Thursday at 7pm as normal. Both teams will head away this Sunday to play Aghaloo, reserves will kick off proceedings on at 2.15pm followed up by the seniors at 3.45pm all support welcome.

Next match is on Thursday evening all players should meet at the pitch at 6pm, managers have requested parents should make themselves available to do linesperson or umpire, supporters are also very welcome. Under 14 girls won the division 3 championship on Monday night beating Coalisland in a replay. Well done to all the girls involved and their management team:- Linda Porter, Sean Mclaughlin, Stephen Devlin & Maria Mclaughlin on all their hard work and dedication, the girls are still awaiting a date and fixture for their league final. Many thanks to all the supporters who turned and a special thanks to Marita Mc Hugh for providing food for the girls on their return. Training as usual.

Run for Michaela
A 5 K walk/run will be held on 16th July @ 4pm all proceeds will go to the Michaela foundation. Everyone should attend for a great cause and a good day out.

We would be most grateful for original photographs, match reports, minute books or any other memorabilia that might be out there in the local community. A priority at the moment are original photographs of the GAA team of the early 1930s, and one of the minor league and championship team of 1988. Sympathy

The Committee, players and members extend their deepest sympathy on the death of Billy Mc Carron, past member and the founding Chairman of our club. Mary Queen of the Gael pray for him.

14th June

Senior Training

Senior training will now be on Monday and Wednesday evenings @ 7pm. Seniors & Reserves will play at home this Sunday at 2.15pm and 3.45pm against Dregish Pearse Óg. Please come and support your team.

Minor Training

Minor team will play away to Breac an Bhíle in the quarter final of the championship at 7.30pm on Thursday 16th. Please come and support your lads.

Boys Under 12 Training

Training for U12 boys on Wednesday night at 6.15 pm sharp all boys should be out on the pitch and ready to train at this time. Next Go Games will be on Monday 20th June against Tattyreagh St Patrick's times to be confirmed. Congratulations to Jackie Hilley would won the guess the score competition held for the recent Tyrone v Monaghan game, many thanks for all who supported the boys, all money raised was used to bring the boys to the All-Ireland blitz which proved a great success.

Girls Under 14/Under 12 Training

Well done to the Under 14 girls who progressed to the final of the championship with a win over Edendork on Monday night with a score line of 5:8 to 3:2. The final will take place on Friday the 17th June time and venue to be confirmed well done on your continued success and good luck in the final. Dates for league final yet to be confirmed.

Boys Under 12

Under 12 boys attended an all-ireland blitz in Newry last Saturday the boys played some great football well done to all who played. Training for U12 boys on Wednesday night at 6.15 pm sharp all boys should be out on the pitch and ready to train at this time. U12 Go Games commence this Saturday with Castlederg away to Fintona @ 11am. Thursday 14th June will see the u12’s playing at home against Newtownstewart @ 7pm all parents should come and support their children.

Girls Under 14/Under 12 Training

Under 12 Girls training at pitch on Thursday night @7.15 and Saturday morning @12.15. Under 14 girls played Strabane on Monday night, Castlederg proved to be to strong a side for the Strabane team with an overwhelming score line of 7 - 25 – 2 points. This was the last league game, leaving the Castlederg girls finishing at the top of the table without being beaten, the girls will now go into league play off with the runners up in the league fixture to be confirmed.

Under 14 Girls well done to the girls who progressed to the semi-finals of the championship with a win over Kildress on a scoreline of 8-11 to 1-0. Next game in the league is at home against Fintona on Saturday morning at 11am. All girls to be at the pitch for 10.15.

A meeting will take place in the clubrooms on Thursday 10th March @ 8pm. Any mums interested in taking part should attend.

Presentation Night

Presentation night proved a great success many thanks to Eunan and Staff from Scholars Bar, Marieta McHugh and Staff for the beautiful buffet. Club person of the year went to a very deserving candidate Aidan Rushe, Senior Player of the year – John Harvey, Reserve Player of the year Ciaran Leonard, Young Player of the year – Caolan Harvey. The ladies were also presented with the following awards: Senior Player of the year – Shannon Lynch, special merit award – Louise Timoney, Young Player of the year – Lauren Corry. A very special award was presented to the club this year by the family of the late Marius McHugh, the award was presented to Shannon Lynch for her dedication to gaelic games and her achievements through out 2010.

Senior & Reserves: Seniors & Reserves will play a friendly match against Bundoran on Sunday 6th March at Marius Mchugh Pitch time will be confirmed on face book. Training continues on Wednesday night. All players must have their membership fees paid prior to playing any games.

Under 14 Boys:: Played away Tattyreagh last Saturday, a spirited second half performance proved not enough in the end. This week they play away to Glenelly on Saturday afternoon leaving from the pitch at 3.00pm. Training continues on Thursday’s at 7.30pm and Monday’s at 6.30pm.

Minor Girls: Will play at home to Drumragh this Saturday all players to be at the pitch for 10.30am, throw in 11.00am. Training continues Tuesday’s and Thursday’s at 6.30, Anyone interested in playing senior football should also attend.

Under 12 / U14 Girls: Training will continue for all girls in this age group on Saturday’s at 12.30 -2pm and on Monday’s 8pm – 9pm.

Youth Meeting: : Will be held in the clubrooms on Thursday 3rd of March at 8.30pm.

Development: Development Sub-Committee meeting will be held at the clubrooms on Monday 7th March at 8.00pm.

Annual Presentation Night: Annual Presentation night will be held this Friday night in Scholars Bar, tickets are £7.50 and can be purchased from any committee members.

Caisleán Na Deirge Club Notes

Senior Training

Training for all senior men @ pitch on Wed night at 7pm, Friday night at 7pm and Sunday morning at 10am. The senior team will travel to Castlefin on Friday night for a friendly match kick off at 7pm.

Boys Under 14 Training

Training for U14 boys onThursday night at 7.30pm sharp all boys should be out on the pitch and ready to train at this time. Boys will play a friendly at home against Tattyreagh on Saturday afternoon kick off at 4pm all players should be at the pitch at 3.30pm.

Girls Under 14 & Under 12 Training

Training this Saturday 26th February @ the pitch. Training starts at 12.30pm all girls to be there for 12.15. Everyone to bring their own water bottle. All newcomers are welcome. Anyone not registered yet to bring membership forms and £5 membership fee. Contact Sean McLaughlin if you need a form.

Minor Girls & Under 16

Training @ 6.30pm on Thursday at the pitch. Minor Girls are away to Loch Mhic Ruairí for the first game of the season on Saturday 26th Feb bus will leave the gaelic pitch at 9.30am full attendance is required.

Registration

Registration will be held at the club rooms on Friday night from 7.30pm – 9pm. Registration closes on Monday 28th February all players must have their forms completed with membership paid by this date. For any further information contact Bernie Harper (Registrar). Congratulations to all the winners of the youth registration draw: Roisin Harper, Conor McHugh, Erin McCallion, Owen McCallion and Darren Lynch all received a choice of a hoody, rain jacket or a club jersey.

Presentation Night

Annual presentation night will be held in Scholars Bar on Saturday 4th March, tickets are £7.50 and can be purchased from any committee members. Tickets are limited to 100 - first come first served.

SCOR SINSEAR.
Many Thanks to Catriona Haughey,Carol Dolan, Jacqueline Connolly,Anne Gallagher and Paula Duggan who represented the Club in this years Scor Sinear. They got to the seme final last weekend and were unlucky no to advance to the final. Thanks also go to Teresa Corry and Berlinda Logue for all their hard work and commitment in ensuring the club is represented in the Scor. Well done to all.
